Welcome to Worship
Worship as a family is important and looks different for everyone. Please know that you are welcome, no matter how “normal” or “unique” you may be! Download a copy of our “Welcome to Worship” letter for a few things you may need to know so that you can be comfortable and free to worship just as you are.
During the months of September – May, Children in Pre-K thru 3rd grade are invited to join us for their very own worship experience every Sunday. While children are more than welcome to participate in worship with the whole family in the sanctuary, adults can also bring their children to the Children’s Church room (follow the signs) after the children’s message during the 10:30 am worship service. Older children who wish to participate in Children’s Church will need to be ready to serve as helpers. They can talk with Casey ahead of time to learn more about how they can help.
After an interactive time of song, storytelling, and prayer, children will join the congregation for communion and sending. Each child will have a take home sheet to share with family members and keep them connected to their worship experience throughout the whole week.
We Practice. Every Sunday (September – May) at 9:45 am the entire congregation is invited to practice our faith together. We will exercise our gifts, grow, connect, and support one another as we walk this journey. Each week, you can choose between four options, some of which may rotate depending on the theme: Holy Conversations; Worship-full Art; Storytelling; Leadership Skills (6th grade and up recommended); Music; Drama; Prayer; and more.
Families can choose to participate in one of these options together, or participate individually based on interest. We ask that an adult remain with those aged 8 and younger. This adult may be a family member or a friend who has agreed to work alongside them in advance. Child care will be available in the nursery for our youngest children.
As we practice our faith together, we will create examples of our faith practice to be used in both the 8:30 am and 10:30 am worship services. Our desire is for this time to bridge the gap between theory and practice, incorporating what we know and believe with what we do in worship and every day.
Join us. All are welcome!
